Little before dining, I turned over to the house, and during this time I looked at the sky that and there, thinking that its found clearness would enable me to make observations after the meal. Suddenly, just above my head, a strange star appeared, with the radiant light which struck my sight. Amazed, as petrified, I remained motionless, the eyes fixed on it, and noticed that it was located close to the stars which Antiquity had allotted has Cassiopée. When I was convinced that no star had shone of the kind before, I found the thing so incredible that I put to doubt my own eyes. I was turned over towards the servants who accompanied me, and asked to them whether they also could just see an extremely brilliant star with the top of us. They immediately answered of only one breath that they saw it perfectly and that it was extremely brilliant. |
