Flux of opening

Fluxs were also estimated by using a aperture. We chose several rays of opening so as to determine effective flux.

The technique is as follows:

  1. One estimates the position of the object by weighed barycentre.

  2. One centers the opening on the given position.

  3. One integrates flux inside the aperture.

  4. The error is estimated.
  5. One integrates in the same aperture and with the same procedure the PSF rééchantillonée into the position of the object.

  6. One corrects for flux apart from the ray.

Figure 8.12: `` Pull '' of the reconstitution of fluxes by aperture for an image of Planetary Camera simulated by HuPhot.

Figure 8.12 shows that the rebuilding of fluxes by aperture photometry is little biased (less than 0.5%) and that the errors are correctly estimated (the sweater has a standard deviation of 1).
